The newly refurbished St. Georges Theatre becomes the new home
for the Great Yarmouth Beer and Cider Festival this year. Organised by the Town
Centre Partnership, the annual event, now in its 6th year, will be hosted at St.
Georges during the Spring Bank Holiday weekend from 23rd to 26th May. Over 50
different ales from a wide selection of breweries will be available over the
weekend long event plus a large selection of the increasingly popular locally
produced ciders.
The festival will be open for a number of lunch and evening
sessions starting with the opening on Thursday 23rd May at 6pm, a lunch time
(11.00am to 3.00pm) and evening (5.00pm to 11.00pm) sessions on both Friday
24th and Saturday 25th , finishing with a lunch time session (12.00 to 3.00pm)
on Sunday 26th May. As in previous years, live music will play an important part
of the festival, with the new stage at St. Georges providing the perfect venue.
